What Makes You Happy?
Sometimes it can get really hard to balance work, life and family. As you know all too well, an architect’s world revolves around deadlines and long hours. So how do people manage it all without leaving out somebody? Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to this because you can’t please everyone. However, realizing that you can’t please everyone is the first step to refreshing your life.
With spring slowly creeping up on us, a simple picnic with your family or friends in your local park can be a great way for everyone to let loose, get active and have some fun before the work week starts again. And for you night owls, there are several fun places around town that have patios for you to enjoy the cool night air. Enjoy the air, the stars and the weekend!
So we want to know… What are some ways you like to enjoy the weekends with your family and friends? Please feel free to share your thoughts… E-mail me at danya@aiabham.org.
ATT: Firm Principals, Partners and Owners
A great way to accelerate the development of the interns in your firm is to encourage them to participate in chapter meetings and activities. Through continuing education lunch programs, leadership positions and informal networking opportunities, there are a myriad activities to help develop aspiring young architects into well-rounded leaders that will help you serve your clients and grow your business. Interns and licensed professionals alike truly appreciate employers who are committed to their professional development. So support the interns in your firm, as well as your own business and the overall profession, by encouraging intern participation in the AIA Birmingham Chapter.
Thank you.
