EMERGING PROFESSIONALS

AIA Birmingham Emerging Professionals are a large part of AIA Birmingham’s success. We try to plan all events and activities specifically towards recent graduates, Intern Development Program (IDP) participants and young architects. Most importantly, we want YOU to succeed in your career as an architect.

Have thoughts about site visits, study sessions, or other suggestions to help improve AIA Birmingham’s EP network? Let us know…contact Kendal Smith, Bill Segrest, or Danya Humaideh with your ideas.

Thank you to HKW Associates and Brasfield & Gorrie for inviting the AIA Emerging Professionals to visit the site of the new Vestavia Hills Public Library! Although crossing the street was kind of nerve wrecking, it was a beautiful day for a site visit. Click here for photos.

Emerging Professionals Workshop, Part 2: Critique Hour – Once again, a BIG Thank You goes to Cheryl Morgan and our three volunteer critics – Ty Cole, Bruce Herrington, and Bill Segrest – for giving their time to help emerging professionals improve their resumes, portfolios, and interviewing techniques.
