“My dream house is very eco friendly. Where I wanted to build my house I wanted to build it right where a huge tree was. So I built the house around the tree. I hollowed out the tree and made the inside an elevator to go in the hollowed out part. At the top of the elevator there is a balcony which has two solar panels that provide energy for the whole house. My house has a hybrid car which does not use gas, it uses solar power. On the right side of my house there is a river. The river provides energy for the elevator. On the left side it has two windmills that provide energy for the lights. The lights in my house are energy efficient and turn off when you leave the room. The owners of my house do not use aerosol products. The windmills help power the house. My house has a lot of plants outside so there is fresh air and provides food. Finally, my house has a recyceling room.”

“My house is very energy-efficient and nature-friendly by using solar panels, trees, cisterns, windows, and rainbuckets. The windows and trees help let cool air in and create plenty of shade. The cistern has built in hoses so that after everything dries up they give it a little more water for about 5 days at a steady pace. The solar panels and rainbuckets use tubes and pipes to channel everything to the generator so that you can make your own energy. The trees also provide oxygen for the air to make it easy to breathe.”

“The reason I value my house is because it is so environmentally friendly. It has solar panels which reduces the need for unnecessary electricity. The house also has a cistern which saves gallons and gallons of reusable water. It also is located in a valley so in the morning and afternoon the sun is not beating down on the house. The setting also provides shade so we don’t have to run the air conditioning as much. Trees are all around the house providing clean, fresh air and shade. The hills and trees also provide shelter from high powered winds.”

Others may talk, but architects walk the walk on sustainable design.
