FREE LUNCH & PRODUCT SHOW – October 13th
Thank you members for another successful sponsor appreciation product show.  Parking was easy, door prizes were fabulous and lunch was delicious.  There was a lot of great networking and socializing.  Architects enjoying each other’s company, who knew?!

Are you worried about the future?  I think everyone in the industry is concerned.  AIA realizes how important your sponsorship is to our organization.  Our organization could never reach our goals without your support.  We want to be sure you get your monies worth out of your AIA Birmingham Sponsorship.  We have put together a few tips that really work (yes, you still have to do the networking).

Tips for Networking with Architects:

• Sponsor AIA Birmingham Chapter
• Attend Monthly Lunch & Learns
• Attend Sponsor Workshop
• Attend Design Awards
• Display at the Fall Sponsor Appreciation Product Show
• If AIA has an event (and your company is a sponsor), attend that event
• If you attend a monthly lunch & learn – sit with architects not other sponsors!

We made a few changes to our sponsorship opportunities and events.  Last year we held a sponsor workshop March 10, 2009 from 9:00 – 10:30, “Effective Ways to Get an Architects Attention”.  There will be a panel of four architects and a mediator.  This will be YOUR opportunity to email questions to aiabirm@aiabham.org  and these questions will be presented to the panel for discussion.  We also have a time set aside to take questions from the audience. We had a Fall Sponsor Appreciation Product Show Oct. 13th, 2009 from 11:00 – 1:00.  This event was a mini tradeshow and now is a true Product Show.  Due to the success of the event we have out grown our FREE venues and have to pay for a venue (the reason for only one product show this year).  Our members appreciate this local Product Show and appreciate your support.  Each of you should feel it by the number of AIA attendees! 230 people attended the fall 2008 Sponsor Appreciation Product Show!
